
Dr. Joaquin J. Aristimuño, M.D.

Dr. Aristimuño was born and raised in Venezuela and came to the United States in his early teens. After graduating from high school in Massachusetts, he earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from George Washington University in 1988. He continued his medical education at George Washington University School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1992 with his MD. He completed his residency at the University of Maryland in the Department of Internal Medicine and then continued on with an Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center at Jacksonville. In 1996, Dr. Aristimuño set his roots in Sarasota working in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Doctor’s Hospital. In 2000, he began working in the ER at Fawcett Memorial Hospital and then added coverage in the ER at Englewood Community Hospital in 2007.​ In 2009, Dr. Aristimuño and Dr. Mason (now retired) purchased Sarasota Medical Center where Dr. A still serves the residents and guests of our beautiful city. se habla espanol
